The Ultrasonic Water Meter is an integrated battery AMR meter for residential, commercial, and DMA billing across DN15 to DN300. Transit-time in a sealed body; no impeller, no bearings, no register gearing. Li-SOCl₂ cell delivers six-year service. Wireless AMR covers NB-IoT, LoRa, and GPRS across firmware V56–V64; V62 adds smart-card prepaid and valve control. IP68 submersible. 5–7 business days from the factory with ISO 9001 cal cert.
Benefits
- Six-year Li-SOCl₂ battery; stock duty cycle, hourly upload, sealed inside the IP68 body. Meter swapped as a unit at end of life.
- NB-IoT, LoRa, or GPRS wireless AMR; firmware V62 (NB-IoT + prepaid), V63 (LoRa), V64 (multi-protocol).
- No moving parts, 10-year service life; transit-time reads residential trickle flows below the mechanical Q1 floor.
- Smart-card prepaid and valve control on V62; meter decrements as water is consumed; valve closes at zero balance until the next top-up.
- RS-485 Modbus RTU, M-BUS EN 13757, pulse, IP68 submersible; threaded ISO 228 G on DN15–DN50, flanged PN10/PN16 on DN65–DN300.

Applications
Residential utility billing; new build + retrofit replace
DN15 to DN25 entry meters for apartment and single-family service. V62 firmware adds smart-card prepaid for collection-risk markets.
Commercial building entry + tenant sub-measurement
DN32 to DN100 commercial entry plus tenant sub-measurement via RS-485 Modbus and M-BUS into the BMS. LEED audit trail via continuous data log.
DMA non-revenue-water audit
DN100 to DN300 boundary meters tile the distribution network. NB-IoT or LoRa streams 15-minute totalizer to SCADA; nightly minimum flow exposes background leakage.
HVAC chilled-water + hot-water tenant chargeback
DN50 to DN200 chilled-water primary and DHW sub-measurement. Extended-range versions handle DHW; M-BUS EN 13757 feeds the tenant-billing aggregator.

Installation rules.
- Respect the 10D upstream / 5D downstream straight-pipe rule. Mount on the longest available run from any elbow, valve, or reducer.
- Orient per the flow-direction arrow stamped on the body. Most versions are uni-directional; specify the bi-directional firmware at order if needed.
- Verify pipe-fill at commissioning and on annual service walks. The pipe must stay 100 % liquid-filled; air pockets falsify the transit-time signal.
- Plan for a 6-year battery swap. Document the install date; the meter is swapped as a unit at end of battery life.
- Set the wireless version at order. Field changes require a meter swap, so pick the version that matches the local network before install.
